Dia De Los Muertos Exhibit Opening

October 15

5:30-7:30pm

Here at the Four Rivers Cultural Center, it is part of our mission to bring our community together around their shared history, culture, and heritage. That’s why from October 15th through November 15th we will be hosting an exhibit in honor of Dia De Los Muertos!

Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday celebrated around the world where families and friends gather together to pray for and remember those who have passed. Taking place on November 1st, the holiday is traditionally celebrated by building private altars in honor of the deceased. Altars are decorated with items that represent lost loved ones, including their past possessions, and offerings of favorite foods and drinks are left.

This year FRCC will open its Harano Gallery for families to build their own altars to display, honoring their loved ones, and sharing their culture and heritage with the community.

What You Need to Know:

  • Altars can be viewed from 9:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • If you would like to build an altar please email us at development@4rcc.com or call 541-889-8191 and we will schedule a time for you to come in and set up!
