Lynn was raised in Battle Creek, Michigan. She is a graduate of the Illustration Department of Kendal School of Design in Grand Rapids. She worked in retail fashion illustration in Flint, Michigan as well as in San Francisco, California.

She moved to Oregon’s Ochoco Mountains in 1979, where life on a remote ranch inspired her to capture the rare moments and detailed beauty of wild birds and animals. Many of her early subjects were her own ranch animals: “Sugar”, the Guernsey milk cow — who ruled the remainder of the domestic livestock; flamboyant “Chicken George”; “Brooster” the rooster, ”Miss Mellow,” her first horse; “Jasper” the cat… and other animals graced Lynn’s earlier work. She moved to the Sumpter Valley of Oregon in 1989. She operates a gallery at 293 S. Mill Street, Sumpter, Oregon.

She now publishes her own Giclee prints with proshot imaging. Her new artwork is a combination of hand tooled copper feathers, leather, horsehair and beadwork, making an interesting 3D effect to her watercolors. Recent work includes, acrylics on canvas, as well as hand tooled enameled copper, Wildlife, Equine, and Native American composites.

Her recent work with the www.trailofpaintedponies.com has brought her to work into dimension, using the horse figurine as a canvas. With her first horse replica called, “Fetish Pony”, released in spring 2005, Lynn has now produced 16 figurines for the “Trail of Painted Ponies” over the past few years. A Top Ten finalist in 2006, with “Copper Enchantment”, Lynn was chosen as a Top Ten Finalist for the 2007 “Bunk House Bronco”. In 2008, “Four Seasons Collection”,Winter Song”, Introduced in the 2009, “Petroglyph Pony”, her first ceramic pony, and “Golden Feather Pony”. 2009 release “Zuni Silver”. 2010 release “Carries the Spirit” and “Dragonfly Magic”.
