Step into an important chapter of American history through Native Vision, a powerful live performance from Living Voices combining theatre, historical storytelling, and archival multimedia.
Follow Alice, a young Navajo woman navigating government boarding school, cultural change, and a changing America. As Alice eventually becomes a Navy nurse and her cousin serves as a Navajo Code Talker during World War II, their stories explore identity, resilience, service, family, and the struggle to preserve cultural traditions.
Developed in partnership with Chinle Unified School District and Navajo Nation community advisors, Native Vision brings history to life through a deeply personal perspective and invites audiences to better understand the experiences of Native Americans during the 20th century.
Recommended for ages 4th grade through adult.
