Starting a nonprofit is the easy part … keeping it funded with an eye on the mission is the tricky part. In this four-hour workshop, we’ll have a little review on what exactly a nonprofit organization is and why it’s so important to have the right mission – and the right board. Learn why engaging in a meaningful strategic planning session is important and leave ready to write an elevator speech, create a solid fundraising plan, and to put together grant proposals that are much more likely to be funded. Board members, executive directors, and other key staff will get a lot from this workshop!
Please bring with you your organization’s current mission and vision statements and some general information about the program areas in your nonprofit. Bring a copy of your organization’s most recent strategic plan if you have one. It will be helpful if you bring a device from which you can access the Internet – a phone, laptop, etc. Lastly, bring a desire to learn and to share what’s working for you.
