The Four Rivers Cultural Center is proud to partner with Dr. Sara Rodgers, Naturopathic Medical Doctor based in Payette, Idaho, to bring you a two-part health series running May through September.
Part 1 kicks off a journey focused on improving your health span—the quality of your life at every age. Because true wellness isn’t just about living longer, it’s about living better.
This series is focusing on informative, practical sessions designed to help you feel your best. Each installment will explore a range of topics, giving you tools to build lasting vitality and well-being.
Each health expert will spend time on the topic followed by a Q&A from the audience for a better understanding of your health, body, and a more well-rounded approach that best suits you! Register and feel free to drop-in for all discussions!

Presentation Goals and Focus
The working title is Kitchen Table Wellness, and the focus is helping people feel more confident with everyday food, without making nutrition feel overwhelming or complicated. I’d like to bring in some of the basics I learned in my Nutritional Therapy Practitioner training, especially around minerals, blood sugar balance, healthy fats, digestion, and preparing real food well.
Some of the things I’d like to talk about are using good-quality salt with intention, why fat on vegetables can help with nutrient absorption, and how to properly prepare vegetables so people actually enjoy eating them. I also want to use ideas from Salt Fat Acid Heat by Samin Nosrat as a simple way to explain how salt, fat, acid, and heat can make healthy food taste better while increasing nutrient density.
