Join us for Fred’s birthday party at Four Rivers Cultural Center on May 10 at 6:00 PM, where there will be birthday cake and more.

The Four Rivers Cultural Center invites the community to participate in a free and fun, child-focused event celebrating service dogs.

It’s a real birthday party with games, stories, songs, cake, and a giant birthday card that can be signed. Fred’s 10th birthday party is the perfect chance to have fun while learning all kinds of interesting things about service dogs.

Attendees can enter their name in a drawing for an opportunity to win a “Fred, the Dog” plush puppy by playing ring toss, bean bag toss, word games and by coloring a version of a service dog at work or at play.

Fred is a yellow Labrador retriever born into a long line of service dogs, bred and trained to lead the blind, Fred’s career changed in his eighteenth month. That’s when he came to Jan, author of twenty Fred, the Dog children’s stories about a service dog at work and at play.

A fun family event for humans only, but the ‘pets are not welcome’.  Service dogs like Fred are family, but they are not pets.   Your time will start with a meet and greet and end with a pet and hug session.

Meet Fred and plan to take plenty of photos!

Admission and parking are FREE.
